Jax crochet pattern
Hello and welcome to my blog! this is my first post so I'm still working out a lot of things with this, I'll be updating this blog as I figure things out lol. Christmas is coming up and my brothers are OBSESSED with The Amazing Digital Circus, especially Jax. Since the pilot just came out there aren't any crochet patterns out for any of the characters (there probably will be by the time I'm done with this lol) so I'm going to make my own! this isn't the first time I've freehanded a pattern but this is the first time I've written one down so PLEASE feel free to critique me lmao. I made two of these guys, one out of sock-weight yarn my grandparents gifted me (I don't know the brand, unfortunately), and one bulky guy I made from red heart yarn. My goal was to make my teen brother a tiny guy as sort of a desk toy, and my kid brother a more snuggly guy for cuddling and such. Because of this I'm not really supplying any particular yarn brands for this, hopefully, that doesn't screw anyone over!

try to fold the arm in half so that the fold is perpendicular to the elbow bend. While attaching the arms I also tried to keep the thumbs pointed in towards the body so Jax would look more natural, but I could see if you think that's sort of nit-picky so don't stress too much over it

The body is now fully finished! its time for assembling and detailing!
Attach ears on top of the head. Next, sew the sides of the feet together, use leftover thread from sewing to embroider toes onto the front of the feet.
To make suspenders, insert the crochet hook into the front loop of round 12 of the body, Ch 1 in yellow, ch around 15 in pink, sl into front loop on other side of body (this should be the back side of the body). Repeat on other side. For the pants cuff, standing crochet into a front loop of round 15 of legs with pink yarn and single crochet in the front loops around for 3 rounds.
when you sew the pocket to the body, sew only the sides and bottoms so it can be used as a little pocket! (I dont know if its accurate to the show, but hey! now he can hold a little candy cane!)
I felted the face onto him, but I understand that isn't an option for everyone so you could also use felt fabric or crochet the eyes and mouth in flat pieces.
